More good news!

I met Dena online back in December. At the time, we were both frustrated with the problem of adopting from China. After talking and emailing, we decided on the same day to switch adoption to Taiwan through the Commonwealth Adoption Agency. We were both "pre-approved" by the Taiwan agency on the same day. Ralph's and my contract, and of course, check, arrived at Commonwealth a day earlier as we sent ours via UPS, and Dena used the US post office, which closed due to President Ford's death.

Dena received their referral for Tessa about six weeks after our referral for Anna. Due to differences in the paperwork, we were on a similar court timeline. We know Anna and Tessa were in the baby nursery together for several months. They have most likely been together at TWCA at some point and may even be in the same foster home.

Monday, Dena got her travel call. Her AIT appointment is the day after ours. We coordinated our trips and booked onto the same flight and hotel. She, her husband Matt, and daughter Emma are leaving Taiwan a day earlier than us due to flight schedules. We can share some expenses while in Taiwan, like Mr. Yeh. Of course, the best part is that we have been working together for over a year on our adoptions and have gotten to go the final mile together.
